Welcome to the Otters!
I would like to welcome everyone to the Otter Swim Team. Whether
you are new to the team or one of the many who have been
swimming for the Otters over many years - Welcome! We are off to
a great start with over 150 swimmers registered to date.
Hopefully everyone has picked up the schedule of practices &
meets at the front desk when you check in for practices. It is
very important that everyone check in daily when they are here
to practice.
Right now we have the new swimsuits on display and sample suits
for you to try on for sizing. The deadline for new suit orders
is Friday, Nov. 12th!! Please remember it is not necessary to
have a team suit, but we are really pleased with the positive
response we have received. Everyone agrees that the old green
suit will blend nicely with our new patterned suit.
Look for a sheet at the front desk this week on swim team
clothing and items that we will be selling this season. We are
working out the details at this time. In the next few weeks we
will be asking for your help in getting ready for our first home
swim meet (Dec. 11th). The parents’ involvement is the only way
we can make it run smoothly. Many hands will be needed.
A New Swimmer Info Packet will be available by the beginning of
December. This will help answer a lot of questions new (and some
of us old) swimmers may have when attending a swim meet. If you
have any questions at this time, please feel free to ask any of
your board members: Lisa Gehenio, Barb Bohn, Alicia Burrows or
myself. If we can’t answer your question at that time, we will
get the answer for you ASAP.
