Otter Newsletter for Week of June 13, 2005

Congratulations, Otters, on your win over Heatherfield on Saturday.  Results are available on the team website, www.swimotters.org.  We particularly want to thank all of those parents who helped run a great meet.  Without your help, our meets would not be a success.

SSSSHHHHHH! Wednesday, June 15th, is Mary Gardner’s 50th birthday.  We will be celebrating with cake at practice.  Mary loves homemade cards from Otters of all ages.   Break out the crayons, markers, and paint and go for it!

This week’s meet is at Cedar Crest High School against Falcons on Saturday, June 18.  Directions are on the MPSL website, www.swimmpsl.org.  Be there at 8:00; the meet starts at 9:00.  Please sign up for the meet by Tuesday.  Jim has sign-up sheets at practice.  Additionally, we will also have sign up sheets for volunteers.  Set an example for your kids—let them watch you serve others!

The first invitational meet our team will attend is the Jack Goepfert Memorial Relays at Hummelstown on Monday evening, June 27.  By June 16, sign up on the sheets at practice, or tell Isaac that you will commit to attending.  The team will take care of the entry fees for this event.

Our next home meet is June 25th.  We’re looking for musical volunteers for the National Anthem.  See Kris Fox if you are interested.

Picture Day is June 22nd at 8:00 a.m.  Forms are available at practice.

Mark your calendar now for our end-of-year picnic/awards/pool party.  We’ll gather to celebrate on Wednesday, July 27th.  More details will be forthcoming in future newsletters.
