OTTERS NEWSLETTER, February 1, 2005 Reminder – always check your calendars IMPORTANT DATES: MEET DATES: **Please mark your calendars February: 11 – No Practice 13: WSY Invitational 18 – 4:30-5:15 Older swimmers/5:15-5:45 Younger swimmers         19: Divisionals (FALCON)                                                        20: ALL STARS (HERSHEY) 25 – END OF YEAR CELEBRATION at Arnold Sports Center DIVISIONAL INFORMATION: It is time once again to prepare for our Divisional Championship Swim Meet.  This year the meet is being held at Cedar Crest on Saturday, February 19th.  The morning events are for 8&U and 10&U Swimmers (be there by 7:10 am).  The afternoon is for 12&U, 14&U and Unlimited (be there by 11:30).    In order to help me with the entries, I am asking that each swimmer who is planning on attending fill in the information on the entry form at the front desk.  Please list the events you would like to swim.  You may pick up to 3 events.  If one of those is a relay, please list a fourth in the event the relay request can not be honored.  All entries must be placed in the "meet envelope" by Fri., Feb. 4th.  No late entries will be accepted.  In order to qualify for divisionals, you must have competed in (or will have competed in) at least 3 meets.  Thanks for your help.  It has been a great season.   Coach Jim   IMPORTANT INFORMATION: DEADLINE FEBRUARY 18, 2005. To show our appreciate to Jim and Mary, we will be collecting a monetary gift from any parent wishing to say “THANK YOU”. This gift is to show our appreciation to them both for all their hard work, time, dedication and love given to each and everyone of our Otters. This gift will be presented by our seniors the night of the Otter Banquet. If you are interested in contributing towards this gift, please make checks payable to Lisa Alexander. You can also place checks in Kyle Alexander’s folder or mail checks to 1 Chris Lane, Lebanon PA  17042   END OF YEAR CELEBRATION: The End of the Year Celebration is on Friday., Feb. 25th starting at 6 pm at the Arnold Sports Center.  All swimmers are free, but the cost for an adult is $6.00 and $5.00 for any additional child (5 years and older).  A check or cash may be given to Lisa Gehenio if you are planning on attending.  If anyone is planning on attending they must make payment to Lisa G. by Fri., Feb. 19th.  If paying by check, please make payable to LVST.  We need to know how many will be attending to properly prepare for the celebration.  Thanks for your cooperation. Please Note:  Every swimmer (14 years and under, must have an adult present). If you would like to help with the organizing of the End-of-the-Year Celebration, please contact Lisa Gehenio @ lgcrnp@hotmail.com.   Keystone 9 & Under Invitational - Saturday, March 5th at the Chambersburg YMCA.  Warm ups at 8:30, meet starts at 9:30.   When you sign up for this invitational you need to go by the swimmers age the day of the meet.  Look for more info at the front desk sometime next week. WSY Valentine Invitational - 9 & Under Swim Meet hosted by the West Shore Y at the Cumberland Valley High School, Mechanicsburg on Sunday, Feb. 13th.  Meet time 1:10 pm.  Cari Zelko has offered to coach our young ones at this invitational.  If you have any other questions, please feel free to email Cari at czelko@comcast.net.
